Qatar Scholarship for Afghans, EAA Foundation and Alight
Project Status
The Qatar Scholarship for Afghans, EAA and Alight project is a four-year higher education initiative implemented by Education Above All, in collaboration with Alight. This scholarship programme is designed to expand access to tertiary education for Afghan youth by supporting enrolment in two- and four-year undergraduate programmes at Indonesian universities. The initiative represents a strategic investment in the younger generation of Afghans, with a particular emphasis on strengthening their preparedness and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their country and communities. The scholarship responds to a context in which Afghan youth continue to face major barriers to education and employment. The project recognizes that Afghan women and youth have experienced obstacles to accessing learning opportunities; within this context, the project seeks to create credible and sustained higher education pathways for Afghan students whose academic progression has been disrupted or constrained.
