Light-up a Children Future in Pakistan
Project Status
The Integrated Social Protection Development Programme (ISPDP), part of Pakistan’s flagship Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), supports poor women and their families by:
- Strengthening social protection systems and climate resilience,
- Improving access to primary and secondary education, and
- Improving access to health and nutrition for women, adolescent girls, and children.
The programme uses results-based financing: funds are released only when agreed targets are achieved and independently verified by the Planning Commission.
Within this, EAA–EAC focuses on education (Output 2). EAC supports the primary education component of Waseela-e-Taleem (WeT), a conditional cash transfer for out-of-school children. By the end of 2025, it aims to newly enrol 960,000 children (480,000 girls and 480,000 boys) who have either never attended primary school or dropped out.
