Birzeit University

With the school established in 1924 and the university founded in 1972, Birzeit University offers 131 academic programs in 9 colleges (Business & Economics, Arts, Law and Public Administration, Education, Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Professions, Postgraduate Studies & Research, Art, Music & Design, and Science). Since its inception, the university has developed in response to the increasing demands of higher education in Palestine and the world. Against all odds, including severe restrictions on academic development and freedom imposed by occupation, the university embodies a success story that is inspiring to all Palestinians.
