QFFD, in Partnership with EAA Foundation and the QRCS, Continue Supporting Children in Gaza through the “Eid Gifts Campaign”
In a humanitarian gesture that reflects a deep sense of solidarity and commitment to supporting children and families affected by conflict, Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and with support from Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), concluded its “Eid Gift” campaign by delivering aid to Palestinian refugee children and families in Jordan during the Eid Al-Adha celebration. This initiative aimed to alleviate hardship and bring moments of dignity and joy to children facing adversity.
Originally launched during the holy month of Ramadan, the campaign called on the Qatari community to donate new clothing and school bags for families in Palestine and Syria. With widespread public support and the contribution of numerous local businesses, the campaign successfully collected over 85,000 new items through 18 locations across Qatar. This strong participation reflects the spirit of generosity and social responsibility deeply rooted in Qatari society, as well as the vital role played by the private sector in humanitarian response.
This latest phase builds on earlier distributions that reached children and families in Syria during Eid Al-Fitr. For Eid Al-Adha, the campaign extended its reach to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, delivering a powerful message of dignity, solidarity, and shared humanity. Thousands of new clothing items and school bags were distributed to refugee children and families to bring a sense of celebration despite the hardship they continue to endure.
Taj Suleiman, Director of Communications and Private Sector Partnerships at Education Above All Foundation, stated: “This campaign is a reflection of our joint commitment to supporting children and families affected by conflict—not only by meeting their basic needs, but by ensuring they experience joy during special moments like Eid. We are proud of our partnership with Qatar Red Crescent and Qatar Fund for Development, which continues to turn humanitarian vision into tangible impact for those who need it most.”
Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Mulla, Acting Director of Humanitarian Aid at QFFD’s Development Projects Division, commented: “In times of unimaginable hardship, Qatar and its development institutions stand by displaced Palestinian families—not just by providing essential goods, but by preserving their dignity and childhood. Something as simple as receiving new clothes can rekindle a sense of self-worth and remind children that they matter. This effort builds on what we started during Eid Al-Fitr—creating moments of joy amid suffering and affirming identity in places where it is most under threat. It also highlights the strength of strategic partnerships, especially between EAA Foundation and QRCS, whose joint humanitarian efforts restore dignity and hope in the darkest of times.”
Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bishri, Assistant Secretary-General for Communication and Resource Development at QRCS, praised the fruitful and continuous collaboration with EAA Foundation during the second consecutive year of the campaign. He emphasized the outstanding public response from citizens and residents, who generously donated clothing and toys for Palestinian refugees. He added:
“Throughout the campaign, QRCS volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes to manage the organizational and logistical aspects of the initiative. Part of the aid shipment was also delivered inside Syria during Eid Al-Fitr. We hope to further strengthen our collaboration with EAA Foundation in future humanitarian initiatives that expand our collective impact and support just causes worldwide.”
