EAA condemns the violent kidnapping of students in the north Nigerian state of Kaduna

Calendar icon
Education Above All (EAA) Foundation strongly condemns the senseless kidnapping of innocent students and calls on authorities to rescue the abductees and bring the perpetrators of this violent act to justice.

In the early hours of Friday morning, armed men stormed the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Nigeria’s northern state of Kaduna, opened fire and abducted a currently unknown number of students.

Tragically, this is the third mass kidnapping at a school in northern Nigeria in the past several months, and EAA renews its call on the international community to unite to protect education from attack, and urges authorities to rescue the innocent students and bring the perpetrators of this senseless act to justice.

In September 2020, EAA launched the #UniteToProtect campaign to create global awareness of the need to protect education, and guarantee the right to safe, quality education for every child.
