IVT Nepal Qatar University Females 2018
Project Status

It is envisaged that the recruitment of QU volunteers for this trip will focus on recruiting students with a passion for leadership and youth development, as well as skills related to the workshops being offered, such as IT, business and leadership skills. As the workshops will be offered as peer to peer sessions, the emphasis will be on shared learning and relationship building between the groups of young people. While QU is responsible for the recruitment and screening of volunteers, ROTA will be engaged in the process and will offer advice and technical assistance as required.
On-going phone and email correspondence with representatives of the READ Project is being utilized in order to identify the needs of the young people visiting the community centers in both Bardiya and Kilali. Once determined, appropriate peer to peer workshops focusing on project based learning will be developed and ROTA volunteers will be trained in how to administer the lessons effectively. It is envisioned that workshop topics will include:
- Leadership skills
- Computer skills
- Decision Making
- Entrepreneurship
