Georgetown University in Qatar

Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) is the Qatar campus of the world-renowned Georgetown University located in Washington, DC. The DC campus was established in 1789, and the campus in Doha, Qatar was established in 2005 in partnership with Qatar Foundation. GU-Q offers a four-year undergraduate program in international affairs which awards a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) degree.
The Qatar campus of the university is dedicated to promoting intellectual, ethical, and spiritual understanding through serious and sustained discourse among people of different faiths, cultures, and beliefs. Through education, research, and service, it aims to advance knowledge and to provide students and the community with a holistic experience that produces global citizens committed to the service of humanity. It seeks to build upon the world-class reputation of Georgetown University and its schools across a variety of disciplines, and to work with its partner Qatar Foundation (QF) to support and develop Qatar’s knowledge economy.
