At Fundacio FC Barcelona, they understand that sport is vital for the health, happiness and emotional development of children. These three areas are complementary to each other and the aim is to use sport as a tool for global development. The foundation works in contexts in which youth violence has already become a structural phenomenon. Running these projects in this area helps to prevent violent behaviour among children and young people. The foundation also fosters the inclusion of children and young people from vulnerable communities affected by problems such as poverty, disability, disease, inequality, and different forms of discrimination. Barça Foundation is committed to education as a fundamental part of children's development and that is why they run different projects in this field, in association with UNICEF and with their own projects like Masia Solidària, which seeks to awaken the social consciousness of young athletes from the different sections of the Club.
