Unique photo exhibition captures the transformed lives of children
The photo exhibition brings to life the images and stories of students in ten countries enrolled in quality primary education programmes throughout the world who have been enrolled in education through the Educate A Child programme run by Education Above All.
Education Above All began with the aim of significantly reducing the numbers of children who have been denied access to education. Since April 2013, Education Above All, through its Educate A Child programme, has returned nearly 11,000 to education in Brazil alone.
The photo exhibition will display 20 photos from projects in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Haiti, India, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Sudan and Turkey and will highlight the scale of the barriers and obstacles currently being faced by children who want to return to education.
This photo exhibition is part of a wider programme to highlight Qatar’s culture, heritage and passion for sport throughout the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Education Above All’s CEO Mr Fahad Al Sulaiti said "We are pleased to be able to highlight the barriers to education children face through our 'Challenges and Reality' photo exhibition held at Bayt Qatar during the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Children throughout the world deserve the right to access good quality education."
