ROTA Extends Gratitude for Gala Dinner Success

ROTA has thanked VIPs, dignitaries, celebrities, guests, sponsors, volunteers and staff for making the 4th ROTA Gala Dinner a spectacular success.

Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), Qatar's proactive education non-profit organisation, has thanked VIPs, dignitaries, celebrities, guests, sponsors, volunteers and staff for making the 4th ROTA Gala Dinner a spectacular success.

In the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser, Qatar Foundation Chairperson, 500 VIP guests enjoyed a glittering reception, speeches and presentations before sitting down to a five-star banquet followed by entertainment and the ROTA Charity Auction, which raised substantial amount of money to support ROTA's Qatari and international education and community programs.

“ROTA's Board of Directors thanks all the guests, sponsors, volunteers; and ROTA Staff for all the support given to make this year's Gala Dinner a fantastic event enjoyed by everyone. The 13 million USD proceeds from the evening will go to support our on-going programs in Asia, the Middle East and Qatar, and to launch new projects in our focals countries," promised ROTA Director Mr.Essa Al-Mannai.

“The enthusiasm and generosity of our 4th Gala Dinner guests is a clear demonstration that philanthropy extends throughout the global community in many positive, tangible ways," added Essa Al-Mannai.

ROTA wishes to thank South Korean soprano and Grammy Award winner, Sumi Jo as well as UAE singer-composer & UN Ambassador At Large, Hussein Al-Jassmi for entertaining the Gala Dinner audience, Sotheby's Europe and its Deputy Chairman Lord Poltimore for conducting the Charity Auction, and the artists Richard Serra, Damien Hirst, Cai Guo Qiang, Qatar Sports Investment , Qatar Foundation, participants at Al Koora project, Angelina Jolie, Porche International, Matthew Day Jackson and Yousaf Ahmad whose masterpieces proved so popular with the Charity Auction bidders. ROTA also shows appreciation to Al Majid Jewellery for their generous donations to ROTA volunteers participated in the management of this Event.

ROTA would extend gratitude to Qatar Museum Authority for all their support of our Charity Auction, also the Art Handling Specialist “Hasenkamp” who assisted in handling some of the precious Auction items. Last but not least, all celebrities for their attendance and support and Companies as well as individuals who have generously donated to ROTA.

Special thanks also go to the generous Gala Dinner sponsors: Msheireb Properties as the event Gold Sponsor, Qatar Petroleum as the Silver Sponsor; and Qatar Vinyl Company Limited as the Bronze Sponsor.
