Opening up a world of education

Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

A Look into The Gambia's Zero Out of School Children Project

Calendar icon

Education Above All (EAA) Foundation recently conducted a media field trip to The Gambia to spotlight its Zero Out of School Children (OOSC) Project. This project seeks to ensure every child in The Gambia has access to quality primary education, especially focusing on the country's marginalized communities.

EAA Foundation Senior Education Specialist David Mumo shared insights on France24 about the Foundation’s comprehensive efforts to enrol every last child in The Gambia. Highlighting the collective efforts with UNICEF and the Gambian Government, Mumo emphasized the importance of this initiative in achieving the Foundation’s goal of Zero OOSC.

The project in The Gambia is part of a broader initiative by the EAA Foundation, which targets similar outcomes in Djibouti, Rwanda, and Zanzibar.
