About EAA

Opening up a world of education

Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Plans have been announced for the London School of Economics to provide one of Fakhoora’s partner universities, the Islamic University of Gaza, with online video conference lectures!

Students from the Islamic University of Gaza will benefit greatly from the live international lectures, which will focus on International Relations this term, and History and Law in the new year.

Using open-access online libraries, or material written directly by the lecturers, the lectures will deliver interactivity and opportunities for questions to be asked and answered across thousands of miles!

The two universities have enjoyed a twinning since 2009, when the LSE Student Union chose a Palestinian university for its international support following the expiry of a previous international university link.

This relationship has grown through a mentoring initiative, and will continue in the same vein, with education as its fundamental concern.

LSE are focused on offering an entirely unbiased and non-political stance on the occupation, while making clear their support for the freedom of learning.
