Opening up a world of education

Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

EAA statement on the Attack on Higher Education in Afghanistan

Calendar icon
The armed attack on students at Kabul University that left 22 students dead and many injured in a place of learning, is the second attack on an educational institution in two weeks.

EAA strongly condemns attacks on education, which are a recurring feature of the ongoing conflicts in the region. Higher Education institutions should be safe places where knowledge is created and transmitted between researchers, teachers and students in a safe and free exchange. Higher Education must be safeguarded so that all parties can replace their conflict through dialogue and re-build peace in their communities.
