EMPOWER 2026 - Youth Leading for Peace and Security

12 - 14 November 2026

In the Arab world today, young people represent the largest generation in history and will play a defining role in shaping its future stability, prosperity and resilience. Yet despite being disproportionately affected by conflict, displacement, economic instability and social fragmentation, they remain underrepresented in decision-making on peace, security and development.

The EMPOWER 2026 theme of "Youth Leading for Peace and Security" recognises young people as meaningful participants in decision-making, conflict prevention and peacebuilding, and reflects Qatar's longstanding leadership in advancing the global Youth, Peace and Security agenda.

EMPOWER 2026 will bring together 250 young leaders in Qatar with policymakers, UN agencies, civil society and academia to position young people as partners in peace and security. The conference will launch with a High-Level Opening Ceremony on 12th November, and from 13^th to 14^th November, youth delegates will enjoy interactive workshops, inspiring speeches and panel discussions bringing together youth and experts in Youth, Peace and Security. A dedicated Youth Exhibition will showcase youth-led community projects, campaigns and partner organisations' youth-focused initiatives.

Delegates will also develop the EMPOWER 2026 Youth Declaration, a youth Call to Action with key recommendations on youth, peace and security that will be presented at the regional Arab Youth Forum for Peace and Security in Doha, 15^th to 17^th November.

EMPOWER 2026 is hosted by the Education Above All Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
