Steadfastness During Times of Uncertainty
Early in the morning on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, Israel launched a sustained and targeted attack against locations and people living in the Gaza Strip. Israel has pledged to increase attacks and not ruled out the possibility of a ground invasion. The campaign is being referred to as operation protective edge by the Israelis.
As an international organization with ties to advocacy that works in Gaza, Al Fakhoroa stands behind the international call for peace and security, the safe guarding of the innocent, the rejection of collective punishment, blockade and the right to education.
Al Fakhoora stands with its students, partners and projects during this time and their safety and security is of the utmost importance. Over the next few hours and days, our students will be taking to social media whenever possible to add their voice to the global conversation to end the attacks on Gaza, freedom and education.
