Schools and Colleges heavily damaged across Gaza
Ministry of Higher Education in Gaza releases a statement listing deaths of students and employees as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.
The Ministry of Higher Education in Gaza released a statement yesterday denouncing the obliterating aggression on Gaza and its crippling effect on educational institutions and youth’s access to education. The Ministry has confirmed that the military attack which began on Wednesday, November 14th, has resulted in the death of five ministry employees and ten students. Two hundred students have been wounded and the ministry estimates that 22 schools have been heavily damaged. The University College of Applied Sciences in Khan Younes wall has been damaged as well as a large portion of its furniture has been destroyed.
The schools in areas close to the Israeli border have been affected the most where at least five schools have been heavily damaged; classroom windows have been shattered and walls have collapsed.
The schools damaged in East Gaza are:

- Ibn Al Haytham School
- Bissan School
In West Gaza:
- Khaled Al Alami School
- Adnan Al Alami School
- Tal Al Islam School
- Al Neel School
- Al Jaleel School
- Zuheir Al Alami School
- Um Al Qura School
- Fahmy Gergawi School
- Balqees Al Yaman School
- Asma Bint Abi Bakir School
- Sheikh Radwan School
In North Gaza Tal Al Rabee School’s northern wall has collapsed completely and all its windows have been destroyed. Al Shayma School has incurred similar losses.
The Ministry urged the international community to denounce the aggression and demanded the Ministry of Higher Education in Israel adhere to the Geneva Convention’s stipulations guarding all educational institutions and schools from armed conflict.
