Reach Out To Asia Launches On-Line Donation Facility
Improved website invites interaction with supporters
Doha , Qatar . 28th July 2007 : Since its launch in 2005, Reach Out To Asia's (ROTA) project portfolio has grown significantly with ongoing projects operating in Indonesia, Pakistan, southern Lebanon and Cambodia, and a number of initiatives also taking place closer to home here in Qatar. But the organization could not thrive without its supporters and recently ROTA took steps to ensure that volunteers, stakeholders, patrons and anyone interested in the work of Qatar's most dynamic charity, can access information and get involved through its new, fully interactive, website.
Latest additions to the ROTA site include a new online donation facility, which will transform the way people can give to ROTA. The new service allows visitors to the ROTA site to donate their chosen amount and to write an accompanying message to personalize their gift.
Other features include online application forms for those wanting to enroll in the growing Volunteer Program, and an online registration for anyone interested in receiving regular updates on the organization's projects and events.
To ensure that it is fully interactive, the website now hosts a discussion forum and a blog - new methods of communication that allow supporters to contribute ideas and give feedback to ROTA about its work. Both are monitored daily so that ROTA can respond to new ideas, suggestions and comments. "An interactive website is an essential tool for an organization such as ROTA," according to its Director, Omnia Nour. "We want to hear directly from our supporters and provide everyone with an opportunity to make a difference."
ROTA is a working hard to make sure that its supporters are up to date on their latest local and international news: an image gallery and press archives, with easy to use search engines, are now available and video has also been integrated into the site. All the latest ROTA video clips are available; visitors can watch ROTA's Chairperson, Her Excellency Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, being interviewed for Al Jazeera Channel's Everywoman program, or see the work of ROTA on the ground in footage from its volunteer trip to Central Java, in Indonesia, in April 2007.
