New Conference Hall brings Change to the Community
For the first time ever, there is a new conference hall in the southern Gaza Strip with advanced lighting and equipment suitable for conferences, graduation ceremonies, workshops, social events and other occasions. The new hall, which belongs to the College of Science and Technology in Khan Younis, has been upgraded through a fund from Al Fakhoora and the Islamic Development Bank and implemented by Qatar Red Crescent beginning in 2012.
"The conference hall can accommodate up to 400 people, with an area of 3600 sq.m.” Eng. Heyam El-Farraa, Project's Department Officer at the college, said. It has enabled us to expand our educational and extracurricular activities inside the college. Not only will students and academic staff benefit from the new hall, but also the surrounding community. Since opening in June 2013, we have held more than 200 events in the hall," El-Farraa added.
"The existence of such an amazing facility inside the campus is very motivating for all of us. It has inspired us to seek new partnerships and expand our academic services through the construction of modern labs that will further improve our reputation." she concluded proudly.
