Concern for the safety of the people of Gaza

Last night Israel launched an attack on Gaza targeting more than 20 locations. The attack dubbed operation pillar of the cloud has resulted in the killing of eight people and injuring of 60 others. Schools and civilian homes have been targeted. The ministry of higher education issued a statement closing all schools and universities and suspending all education activities until further notice. Al Fakhoora reiterates the international call for the United Nations to preserve peace and security in the world and safeguard human life especially children and provide educational institutions with their rightful status as protected enviroments from conflict.
