Member - Founder, African Leadership Group CEO, Sand Technologies

Fred SwanikerFred Swaniker is a visionary entrepreneur and systems thinker who has launched eight organizations at the intersection of education, technology, talent, and AI. He is the Founder of the African Leadership Group, which includes ALX, one of the worldʼs fastest-growing tech talent accelerators. ALX has trained more than 375,000 young professionals across the continent in data, AI, and entrepreneurial skills. Over the past two decades, he has founded and led multiple institutions designed to reimagine how leaders are developed, building a talent ecosystem focused on cultivating technically fluent leaders prepared to thrive in the digital economy.

He is now bringing that mission to the next chapter through Frontier Innovation Group to transform the global workforce. He is propelled by a belief that potential is everywhere, and that the people, institutions, and systems to enable it must be built now, in every city, every country, and every society that wants to be ready for whatʼs ahead.

Fred is also the Founder & CEO of Sand Technologies, a physical AI company with work spanning the globe, building Symmetri, the world model for the critical infrastructure that civilization depends on. A platform that becomes the intelligence layer for the physical world, enabling the people who run critical systems to make better decisions and deliver intelligent outcomes.

Fred is recognised by TIME, the World Economic Forum, TED, and the Aspen Institute. He earned his MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and received the Award for the Advancement of the Common Good in recognition of his commitment to ethical leadership and societal impact. He holds honorary doctorates from three universities around the world and serves on the board of the Rhodes Trust.
