IFERB/Play Based Learning - Sustainability

Project Status

In 2023, Mantra Social Services partnered with EAA to integrate IFERB Project-Based Learning (PBL) resources into the government education system, and build the capacity of school leaders and teachers to implement and integrate these resources sustainably. The project aimed at contextualizing and integrating science PBL resources in Bihar at the state level for students in grades 6-8, and literacy and numeracy PBL resources in Andhra Pradesh within the MJPAPBCWREIS government society for marginalized children from oppressed social segments who are in grades 6-7. Across both states, the project reached over 3.5 million children and over 80% of government stakeholders expressed their desire to integrate the learning resources into the government curriculum. In 2024, the project was extended in both states for one to further the goals of capacity building and to expand the subjects covered in each state with mathematics being added in Bihar and grade 6 science in Andhra Pradesh.
