IFERB/Play Based Learning - Phase 2
Project Status
Building on the success of the 2023 IFERB sustainability project in Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, EAA and Mantra Social Services launched a new project in 2024 with the goal of introducing project-based learning in Nagaland and Odisha states to improve students' learning achievement in various subject areas. The program also focused on strengthening the local education system in both states to facilitate and expand the adoption of PBL. In Odisha, the project aimed to improve literacy and social science outcomes for marginalised children in grades 7-8 in residential schools, with a special focus on fostering pride in tribal identity. In Nagaland, the project focused on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of at-risk children in grades 4-5. Government stakeholders in both states were engaged in all stages of the project to ensure the sustainability and government ownership of the project.
