Digital School Project: Phase 2
Project Status
By November 2020, learners from the Second Chance Programme, as well as those from DSP Phase I, had completed their respective remote foundation courses and were preparing to begin their Main Course journeys together. At the end of the first DSP pilot, the beneficiaries had been separated into two groups: Readers and Non-readers.
The program supported these learners by:
- Reader-Level Learners: They advanced to a Main Course curriculum.
- Non-Reader Level Learners: A special audio- and video-based curriculum was developed for students who were on the path to literacy (non-readers).
In its second phase, the Pratham–EAA Digital School Project involved learners transitioning to an advanced curriculum. This was achieved through the development of digital content by the Pratham team, which had extensive experience in creating Main Course materials under the Second Chance Programme. In addition, both groups of learners were given access to vocational courses focused on practical skills and certification, including Digital Readiness and Menstrual Awareness and Hygiene.
