The Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, was established in 2000 with a vision to help underprivileged children in India realize their potential. The Foundation’s current focus is to bridge the education divide by creating programmes in rural India that bring about sustainable change through quality education. The Foundation contributes to the nation’s education agenda through its flagship rural education initiative – the Satya Bharti School Programme. This programme reaches thousands of underprivileged children, with a focus on the girl child and children from marginalized communities. Currently, more than 38,000 students are enrolled across 253 Satya Bharti Schools in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. Ultimately, it aims to develop replicable and scale models of quality education.
