Project Status

Tomorrow’s Leaders program is a youth leadership program aims at developing the leadership skills and build youth character. It consists of several modules as follow:
- Self-management: It is a key skill that will help you throughout your life. It involves setting goals and managing your time. Developing your motivation and concentration skills will help you to overcome the lure of procrastination. Effective self-management will help you to avoid stress and provide you with more opportunities to get involved in fun campus activities. A key skill in self-management is self-regulation. Self-regulation refers to individuals monitoring, controlling and directing aspects of their learning for themselves
- Planning: It is the thinking skill that helps leaders develop strategies to accomplish goals. It helps them to think about how to complete a task before attempting to begin it, what are the stages of planning and what are the requirement of each stage.
- Problem Solving: problem solving requires two distinct types of mental skill, analytical and creative. Analytical or logical thinking includes skills such as ordering, comparing, contrasting, evaluating and selecting. It provides a logical framework for problem solving and helps to select the best alternative from those available by narrowing down the range of possibilities (a convergent process).Analytical thinking often predominates in solving closed problems, where the many possible causes have to be identified and analysed to find the real cause. Steps for problem solving are thought using case studies and real problems.
- Decision Making: In its simplest sense, decision-making is the act of choosing between two or more courses of action. In the wider process of, decision-making involves choosing between possible solutions to a situation. Decisions can be made through either an intuitive or reasoned process, or a combination of the two. Steps of decision making are thought using case studies and real problems.
- Team Building: is the skill that is used to enhance social relations and define roles within teams, often involving collaborative tasks. It is a process that allows team members to understand the nature of group dynamics in regards to effective teamwork. The program is designed to develop team building through real tasks and group works.
- Communication: The ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently. Young leaders with good verbal and non-verbal communication skills help facilitate the sharing of information, knowledge and expertise. The program is designed to develop and improve the communication skills for young leaders.
- Creative and critical thinking: creative thinking involves creating something new or original. It involves the skills of flexibility, originality, fluency, elaboration, brainstorming, and modification. The program addresses most of these elements at different level and in different occasions. Brainstorming strategies, mind mapping and other techniques are thought and presented in the program.
- Critical thinking: Critical thinking involves logical thinking and reasoning including skills such as comparison, classification, sequencing, cause/effect, patterning, webbing, analogies, forecasting, planning, hypothesizing, and critiquing. The program addresses most of these elements at different level and in different occasions.
- Time management: It is the ability to plan and control how you spend the hours in your day to effectively accomplish your goals. Skills involved in managing your time include planning for the future, setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and monitoring where your time actually goes. Good part of the program is dedicated for time management and related areas.
