ROTA Youth Service Club-Leadership Training 2018

ROTA Youth Service Club (RYSC) Leadership Training is a 5 months programme for youth between 16-26 years old, however exceptions has been done for talented students of age 15 years old. The first phase of the program started from October 2018 includes 4 days of intensive, interactive and practical leadership, project management and advocacy skills training program, which has been designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of potential ROTA Youth Service Club (RYSC) Members. The training was delivered in a friendly learning environment, where 50 students from various community members were able to work and learn in an exclusive unfamiliar area that is away from everyday distractions and comforts to stimulate their innovation and creativity towards taking local community service action. The sessions focused on introducing ROTA Youth Program and its themes of Leadership, Service Learning and Global Citizenship. Around 9 groups were established by the end of the day 4 of the training and shall start executing their project plan starting from November 2018. The second phase will last almost 5 months, continuing until March 2019 (Empower Annual Youth Conference), and includes practical bi-weekly grass root training.
