The 17 Sustainable Development Goals laid out by the United Nations serve as humanity’s blueprint for an inclusive, prosperous, peaceful future by 2030. They are a measurable action plan used by all countries around the world, to motivate and track our collective progress towards equality and development.
Education is goal number 4. But it is also a critical pillar to the success of many of the other goals. According to the UN Statistics Division, the pandemic has wiped out 20 years of education gains, along with a similar drop in progress across other key goals.
With only eight years left to achieve all 17 goals, we need to accelerate our commitment.
And just like football, we can only score these goals by working as a team!
