Opening up a world of education

Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Calendar icon 04 April 2023 20:30 - 23:30
An evening of giving.

On 4 April 2023, Liwan is hosting Liwan for Good—a community-orientated charity event during the holy month of Ramadan with local charities, businesses, and artists and a spectacular light calligraphy performance by artist Karim Jabbari.

EAA has been invited to participate in this exciting event to raise money for our Assalam School projects in Qatar. Students from our Assalam schools have created and designed unique, hand-crafted art pieces for sale during the evening.

The evening will also gather local creatives and businesses to showcase some of their works and products for a good cause. And lastly, henna lovers can enjoy henna art by designer Rabab Abdulla.

When: Tuesday, 04.04.2023
What time: 8:30 – 11.30 pm
Where: Liwan Design Studios and Labs

What is Together?
Together is a project of Education Above All foundation that aims at eliminating barriers to education in Qatar, by facilitating the establishment of alternative education institutes and programmes, in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education and NGOs.

What are Assalam Schools?
With our partners in Qatar, Together has established five specialised, tuition-free schools called “Assalam.” Since 2017, the project has supported over 3,600 children from 31 different nationalities who are residents of Qatar.

How can you support?
The art on display has been created by Assalam school students in Qatar, and all proceeds from the sales will go towards supporting the Assalam Schools and ensuring all children can access education.  Or you can donate online directly to Together Project here.
