Opening up a world of education

Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

UNESCO issues Incheon Declaration in support of new Education Sustainable Development Goals

Calendar icon
From 19 – 21 May, 2015 three members of the EAC team along with several of their Education Above All colleagues participated in the World Education Forum (WEF) in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

During the WEF the wording of the Declaration was strengthened significantly to address the immediacy of attending to the unfinished agenda of out of school children.  A critical next step is attention to the content of the Framework For Action that will outline the targets, indicators, mechanisms and financing for the Education component of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will be approved at the UN General Assembly in September 2015.
