Children love to learn. If they are denied access to knowledge, we also deny them the opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Educate A Child (EAC), a programme of Education Above All Foundation (EAA), received a financial contribution from the K108 Hotel in Doha.

On behalf of H.E. Yousuf Kamal, K108 representatives and members of the K108 Advisory Board gave the donation cheque to Ali Alsobai, Representative of Education Above All.

Launched by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, EAC aims to trigger significant breakthroughs in providing quality primary education to the 58 million children who are currently out of school.  K108’s donation will go towards supporting Educate A Child’s programmes, which aim to provide access to quality primary education to out of school children around the world.

Commenting on the donation received from K108, Ali Alsobai, Representative of Education Above All, said: “We commend K108 on their unique and admirable mission and on being the hotel whose profits all go to charity. We are thankful to K108 for their contribution to EAC, and are pleased to see it join the growing number of organisations in Qatar who are partnering and supporting the work of EAA and its programmes. EAC aims to provide quality primary education to 10 million out of school children by 2016, and financial contributions are vital to ensuring we reach our target”.

One of the best luxury boutique hotels in Doha - K108 Hotel opened in March 2012 and aims to give 100 percent of its profits to charity. The K108 is a legacy for H.E Yousuf Kamal’s father Hussain Kamal, whose vision and ethics for life have always motivated him to help the needy.

Christoph Franzen, K108 Representative said:

“H.E Yousuf Kamal is certainly following the legacy of his father and contributing to the society at his best. It is always said that giving is the best joy that one can receive; K108 is proudly thriving on the same.”
