Dignitaries and Celebrities to Raise Funds at ROTA's Gala Dinner for Education Projects Across Asia and Middle East

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar,Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) is set to host its 6th Gala Dinner on 19th November at Al Shaqab. The event, designedto raise funds for projects that provide access to quality education and learning facilities for underprivileged communities across Asia and the Middle East, will be attended by a host of dignitaries and international celebrities.

Doha, Qatar, 5 November 2016:Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar,Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) is set to host its 6th Gala Dinner on 19th November at Al Shaqab.

The event, designedto raise funds for projects that provide access to quality education and learning facilities for underprivileged communities across Asia and the Middle East, will be attended by a host of dignitaries and international celebrities.

Sotheby’s, the world famous international auction house, will auction a number of rare items on the evening. By attending, the Gala Dinner’s guests will make a significant contribution to the lives of thousands of people in need. Proceeds from the auction will fund existing and future ROTA education initiatives in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Yemen, and for Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.

Launched 10 years ago, this year’s event will be held under the theme ‘Team up today, Shape up tomorrow’ and will be sponsored by Al Majed Jewellery and Qatar Rail, who are Gold and Silver sponsors respectively.

Proceeds from the 5th ROTA Gala Dinner held in 2014 were used to support Syrian refugees in Lebanon, youth in Nepal and the West Bank, and to rehabilitate schools in Tunisia.

ROTA, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), is committed to providing education opportunities and promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding through its innovative programmes.
